To talk about the discrimination, even the violence, that some HIV and AIDS patients still confront once their condition becomes known.

3-b → Dr. Sohail Rana, professor of pediatrics and child health at Howard University. Has been taking care of children and adults with HIV/AIDS for some 25 years.

No, he even says they may have, in some way, become worse. He says most individuals with HIV have to think a hundred times before they tell somebody that they have HIV.
He disclosed his HIV status after he’d known he was HIV positive for 15 years.
His doctor almost didn't want to treat him.
Just dealing with folks caused a lot of pain and trauma.
He modified his behavior in response to something, in anticipation
It caused a lot of problems, and stressed his marriage to the point of almost dissolution.
To understand this phenomenon of stigma and de-stigmatize all illnesses, by spreading knowledge
First example: an 18 year-old girl who changes three buses to go to a school that is far away from her home just because somebody whispered about her diagnosis in her previous school.
Second example: a 16-year-old patient’s sister refuses to hug him because she thinks she will catch AIDS if she does.
